Dataxis is monitoring quarterly all broadband Internet Service Providers (ISP) in Europe, Latin America and North America, by country and type of access. Dataxis methodology to analyse market power for each supplier is to attribute a percentage of the installed base of every ISP to each supplier in actual or recent relationship with it. If two suppliers only are active, each has 50%, etc. Gateways considered include access only devices (modems), with Wi-Fi routers, and with or without TV and VoIP capabilities. This is in no way a method to reflect actual shipments or value market share. Market power represents well the customer base of each supplier, and the potential of its relationships in the market at a given time.
